In contrast to the NPA’s votes against campaign finance reform, Vision Vancouver released a comprehensive list of its campaign contributors today. The release highlights support from more than 8,500 contributions from over 4,300 different individuals, representing the broadest base of support in Vancouver's history.

“I’m proud of the support Vision Vancouver enjoys support from an unprecedented array of Vancouver residents from all backgrounds, reflecting the full diversity of the city we love,” said Mayor Gregor Robertson. “Today’s release is another important way we’re demonstrating our commitment to a positive, transparent, and open campaign, and shows the strong momentum we’re building to keep Vancouver moving forward.”

Today’s voluntary pre-campaign disclosure builds on nearly a decade of Vision Vancouver advocacy for campaign finance reform in British Columbia.

In contrast, the NPA voted to block campaign finance reform and received the largest donation in the history of Canadian politics in the last election.
