Former BC Premier and federal Health Minister Ujjal Dosanjh has endorsed Mayor Gregor Robertson and the Vision Vancouver team for the upcoming November 15th election.

“Vancouver is a progressive city, and it needs progressive leadership at City Hall,” said Dosanjh, former Member of Parliament for Vancouver South. “The NPA has taken a hard and negative turn to the right, and no longer represents the priorities of this remarkable city. With so much at stake in this election, I’m encouraging voters to support the inclusive, compassionate, and forward-looking leadership of Mayor Gregor Robertson and the Vision Vancouver team.”

With less than a week remaining before election day, Dosanjh’s endorsement builds on new support this week from former NPA President Michael Davis and three-term COPE Councillor David Cadman.

Mayor Gregor Robertson welcomed the new endorsement.

“Ujjal Dosanjh is a leader who has offered real progressive leadership to our city, our province, and our nation, and I’m honoured to have his support,” said the Mayor. “Today, Ujjal and I are urging Vancouver voters to take a look at our positive priorities and consider casting a vote for the progressive centre. There’s a clear choice in this election, and together we’re saying that Vancouver can’t afford to risk letting the NPA take our city backward.”
