Two important milestones are happening today: it's the 45th anniversary of Earth Day, and we’re now at the halfway mark of voting in the referendum for better transit and transportation across our region.

Investing in better transit is one of the most important steps for Vancouver to become the Greenest City in the world by 2020, but we can only get there with your support.

Today’s latest numbers from Elections BC show that 104,557 people have voted in the City of Vancouver alone. Are you one of them?

With our region set to grow by over a million people in the next 25 years, we need to plan for a future that protects our environment and reduces our greenhouse gas emissions. A Yes vote means we move closer to becoming the greenest city in the world by investing in the new Broadway Subway, 5 new Vancouver B-Line rapid bus routes, 50% more SeaBus service, 80% more late night transit service, and much more.

Visit mayorscouncil.ca for more information on how Vancouver and our region will benefit from voting Yes – and if you haven’t received your ballot yet, ask for one at 1-800-661-8683 or election.bc.ca/ovr before midnight May 15, 2015.

You've been a big supporter of Vision's work to make Vancouver the Greenest City in the world by 2020. Let’s celebrate Earth Day this year by saying Yes for better transit and transportation all across Metro Vancouver.
