Please join us for Vision Vancouver’s 12th Annual General Meeting on Monday, January 15, 2018. This year we will also be undertaking the task of ensuring our constitution and bylaws reflect our values around inclusivity and diversity.
While this event is open to the general public, only active Vision Vancouver members are eligible to vote.
Please review the following submitted resolutions:
Resolution 1: Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion Policy
Submitted by: Vision Vancouver Executive
Whereas Vision Vancouver is a democratic member-based organization that reflects Vancouver’s vibrancy and vitality
Whereas Vision Vancouver is committed to the values of diversity, equality, and social justice
Whereas Vision Vancouver is committed to improving the quality of life for all Vancouverites, regardless of their social identity or economic status
Be it resolved that Vision Vancouver adopt the attached Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion Policy.
Resolution 2: Amending the Constitution and Bylaws to use gender neutral language

Whereas the Vision Vancouver Executive has submitted the Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion Policy for the adoption
Whereas this policy aims to create an organisational culture that ensures all individuals, regardless of their background, perspectives, and circumstances, are able to fully and freely participate in all Vision Vancouver’s activities with success
Whereas Vision Vancouver is committing to applying a diversity and equity lens to all actions, decisions, and work of Vision Vancouver
Be it resolved that Vision Vancouver approve the amended constitution and bylaws to use gender neutral language.
