New Vision Vancouver Candidate Slate to Bring Hope and Experience Back to City Hall

Members endorsed a diverse and experienced team of candidates to carry the banner in the October municipal election.

VANCOUVER – This weekend party members endorsed a diverse and experienced team of candidates from across the city to carry the Vision Vancouver banner in the October municipal election.

“People across Vancouver want to see City Hall get moving again on the things that matter to them and they know that Vision Vancouver can deliver,” said council candidate Lesli Boldt. “This incredible team will build on Vision’s track record and bring focused, responsible leadership to start making progress again on building a greener, compassionate and more just city.”

Vision Vancouver members endorsed 11 candidates for election including four candidates for Council, five candidates for school board and two candidates for park board, including incumbents Allan Wong, on school board, and John Irwin, on park board.  Members also affirmed that the party will not be running a mayoral candidate in the upcoming election.

Over the past year, Vision Vancouver has hosted over a dozen online and in-person events, bringing together hundreds of people — to address reconciliation, anti-Asian racism, effective engagement at City Hall, and what makes individual neighborhoods strong. Vision Vancouver has held two successful fundraisers, increased our donor base and more than tripled our membership this past year. Building on our strong foundation, Vision Vancouver has seen a re-engaged and re-energized base of supporters.
